Data Verification

Double record keeping and information proofreading are two main methods for data verification. Processing data comprises comparing the information entered to the original document.
The objective of data authentication is to ensure that the information obtained is as accurate as possible but to also reduce the human and instrument errors, including those that occur during data processing. Data verification is a continual process that should begin with intelligence gathering and continue throughout data entry and analysis.
Keep a close eye out! The terms “data verification” and “based on reliable data” are often used significantly more narrowly by some agencies. Data validation is characterized as an automatic computer check to determine that the data entered is sensible and reasonable, while “data verification” is specified as a check to guarantee that the data entered matches the original source quickly and precisely. If the information truly measures how much they’re expected to represent (the strict definition of validity), and whether the data are blunder (verification by our definition).
The lack of agreed-upon terms could explain why these mainly two areas of data analysis were attracting so little consideration!
